Attempts to convert Hindus by luring them with money and cure for ghost-attacks

Azamgarh (UP) – It has come to light that an attempt is being made to convert Hindus in Maharajganj of the District. In Shivshankari Maheshpur village, an attempt to convert Hindus were being made in a Congregation by alluring Hindus with money and a cure for ghost attacks. As soon as Bajrang dal received its information, their volunteers arrived at the site and opposed it. Police were also called to raid the premises. Two women were arrested. Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar said that earlier also, such conversions have taken place in the District. Even though the missionaries have been arrested and harsh action is taken against them, such incidents of conversion do not stop in the District.

The frequency of this kind of incident brings to light that though there is a law in the State against conversation, Christian missionaries are not afraid of it. It is important to investigate which political power is supporting them and action must be taken against them too.
