Five youth arrested for circulating video of hurling bomb at Malappuram Police station 

Malappuram (Kerala) – A five-member gang was arrested by the Melattur Police on Saturday for allegedly creating and circulating a video of hurling a bomb at the Police station. The accused have been identified as Poduvannikkal natives Mohamed Riyas (25), Mohamed Hawaz (22), Salim (20), Muhammad Jasim (19) and Salmanul Fariz (19). According to reports, they created the video to go viral on social media. In the video, created by adding dialogues from films, the scenes of a bomb exploding were inserted from some other footage by employing visual effects.

It was widely circulated on Instagram and YouTube. The Police said the aim of the youngsters was to gain ‘likes’ on social media.
