Bengaluru (Karnataka) – ‘Innocent youths and students have been arrested in false cases during the riots in DJ Halli, KG Halli, Shivamogga, Hubballi, etc. in Karnataka in the last few years.  Re-investigate these cases and withdraw the cases against innocent people as per the rules’, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said while instructing the Administration. His statement came after the demand made by Congress MLA Tanveer Seth.

BJP leader Yatnal Basanagouda R Patil tweeted that these accused are stone pelters, rioters, and carried out arsons at Police Stations. Earlier, the same Congress Government had aided in creating a distressful environment in the State by withdrawing cases against PFI goons. The Home Minister, who claimed to have come to power with someone’s blessings, has now taken up this foolish task to appease Muslims.

Government should not intervene until the accused are punished ! : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Mr Mohan Gowda, the State Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, also tweeted, ‘The religious fanatical forces are behind these riots and the State Government should not interfere in this case until an honest judicial enquiry is conducted and the Court process is over, and the culprits are punished’.
