We will not tolerate Afghanistan sheltering the Taliban terrorists who attack Pakistan
Pakistan’s Minister of Defence warns Afghan Government
Khwaja Asif, Defence Minister of Pakistan
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Neighbouring nation Afghanistan is sheltering the terrorists engaged in evil activities in Pakistan. We will not tolerate that anymore, warned Khwaja Asif, the Defence Minister of Pakistan. Before that Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir had alleged that Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was attacking Pakistan.
Khwaja Asif said that Afghanistan was not observing the duty of a neighbouring nation as it is not following the ‘Doha’ Treaty. 50-60 lakhs Afghan refugees were living in Pakistan, and despite this killers of Pakistanis are allowed to live in Afghanistan. Pakistan will not tolerate, it will use all its resources to save its land and people.
Pakistan alleged Afghanistan’s Taliban Government to have given shelter to these terrorists of TTP. That organisation is trying hard to implement ‘Sharia law’ in Pakistan and it is engaged in terrorist attacks there. Since the Taliban Rule in Afghanistan in 2021 their activities are on the rise.
Taliban reacted saying Pakistan should give evidence about their having TTP terrorists
Jabiullhah Mujahid, Spokesperson of Afghanistan’s Taliban Government
Afghanistan’s Taliban Government’s spokesperson Jabiullhah Mujahid said while denying Pakistan’s allegations that TTP did not exist in Afghanistan, if Pakistan had pieces of evidence, they should provide them; they would think of acting upon then. Mujahid said further that Pakistan was not a part of ‘Doha treaty’, hence it had no right to speak over Doha treaty. That treaty was between Afghanistan and US. Pakistan being an Islamic nation Afghanistan is maintaining relations with it, they would not use their land against Pakistan.
Editorial perspective
Afghanistan giving shelter to Taliban terrorists engaged in terrorist activities in Pakistan. It appears like Pakistan is paying in its coin as Pakistan is doing the same thing with India for the last 33 years through terrorist activities to disturb the peace in India. |
