‘El-Nino’ and increased Carbon Dioxide emission responsible
London (England) – Global average temperatures have risen dramatically over the past few years. 3rd July 2023 was the hottest day ever as per the temperature records of the last 125 years. Recording the temperature began 125 years ago. According to the National Centers for Environmental Prediction, the global average temperature on 3rd July 2023 was recorded as 17.01 degrees Celsius. Scientists have observed that this increase is due to the effect of ‘El Nino’ and increased emission of Carbon Dioxide. The Earlier record of the highest global average temperature was 16.92 degrees Celsius which was recorded in August 2016. Temperature records are predicted to be broken again and again in the coming 1.5 years.
1. Record temperature was observed in Spain earlier this year, followed by marine heatwaves in several Asian countries. This was unusual. During the same week, several places in China recorded temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. Southern part of the USA has also heated tremendously.
2. According to the scientists, the results of ‘El Nino’ began to appear in the month of June. This means additional heat has been produced in the Pacific Ocean. This led to an increase in the global average temperature.
3. The effects of higher temperatures are also observed on both the geographical poles. 8.7 degrees Celsius temperature was observed in Antarctica in July, which is the highest ever in the month of July.
