Congress instigated Khalistanis to create wedge between Hindus and Sikhs

New Delhi – Khalistani terrorists were propped by Congressmen like Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Giani Zail Singh and Kamal Nath according to former Special Secretary of India’s intelligence agency ‘Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)’ G B S Sidhu in an interview given to Smita Prakash, Editor of the news agency ‘ANI’. Sidhu also said that ‘Congress created the formula of Khalistan and propped Bhindranwale only to create a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs’.

Points raised by G B S Sidhu in the interview –

1. “Operation Bhindranwale-Khalistan was initiated and managed by some senior and influential Congress leaders operating from the Prime Minister’s residential office at 1 Akbar Road”. It includes Indira Gandhi, her son Sanjay Gandhi, Kamal Nath, Giani Zail Singh, etc. He said, “All this started in mid-1978 when Giani Zail Singh, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, and Kamal Nath worked out a political plan to prop up a Sikh extremist who would create a rift between Akali Dal & Janata Dal and this would eventually give electoral benefit to Congress”.

2. An eminent ‘Saint’ was sent to Punjab by Sanjay Gandhi and Giani Zail Singh. The intention was that the Saint would criticise the soft policy of the Akali Dal and the response will be expressed by the Janata Party which will break the alliance between Akali Dal and Janata Party.

3. It was Congress that propped up Bhindranwale to terrorise Hindus in Punjab and instigated Khalistan. Due to this, the people of the country began to feel a threat to the integrity of India.

4. Officials from the Police and Administration started calling Bhindranwale ‘Sir’. He was made too big. It was then Union Home Minister Giani Zail Singh who created the image of Bhindranwale in the media.

5. At that time I was sent to Canada and discussion of Khalistan in Canada was insignificant. After returning to India in 1979, I was sent to ‘RAW’. A new division of RAW was created in December 1980 to investigate relations between ISI and Sikh fundamentalists; but at that time, not a single instance of any connection between the two has come up.

6. The Congress planned to hold talks with the Akali Dal. They thought that the problem could be solved through such a discussion. Both of them discussed 26 times. Sometimes Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi participated in it. Sanjay Gandhi planned to win elections in Punjab on the issues of Khalistan and Bhindranwale.

7. In the year 1982, we got information that Indira Gandhi’s life was in danger. Then Bhindranwale started living in the Golden Temple. It was then decided to arrest him.

Editorial viewpoint

The Congress created demon like Khalistan, which finished the Congress and harmed the country. Such Congress should have been banned by now.

This shows how Congress misused it’s power. It won’t be a surprise if the Hindus wipe out the Congress that sacrificed Hindus for its own selfish motives.
