Show some seriousness about solving the basic problems : Karnataka High Court

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Karnataka High Court has ordered that the problem of drinking water in schools in the State be resolved within the next 2 weeks. Along with this, the Court has also asked to conduct a survey regarding other facilities. Expressing its displeasure over the issue of toilets and drinking water in schools in the State, the Karnataka High Court reprimanded the Government, saying, “Show some seriousness.”
The High Court in its order said, “The lack of such basic facilities in the schools could deprive even the most talented students of the chance to contribute for the progress of the State and the country. This really pains us. Some schools are equipped with all the modern technology, gadgets, clean water, etc. the students there are lucky. We make it clear that the State Government should take immediate steps to rectify the deficiencies revealed by the survey.”

Toilet and drinking water are basic necessities, if the Court has to issue an order for that too, then what is the use of Government and administration ? Action should be taken against the education minister and the administrative officers who are responsible for this inconvenience. |
