We (Muslims) are not wearing bangles in our hands : Maulana Tauqeer Raza

Bareilly (UP) – After the ‘Love Jihad’ incident in Uttarakhand, posters were put up on the shops owned by Muslims in Uttarkashi asking them to leave the town. Some shopkeepers have already left and some are leaving. In this regard, Maulana (Islamic Scholar) Tauqeer Raza, President of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, has threatened the BJP Government of Uttarakhand. He said, “We are not wearing bangles. If the Government does not take action regarding this incident, we will go to Uttarakhand and gherao the Government. We will not allow bulldozers to run on our mosques, mazars (Muslim graves) and madarasas”

Maulana Raza further said, “Whatever is happening in Uttarakhand, they are thinking of doing it in the whole country. A Hindu Mahapanchayat was convened there but was postponed. If Muslims had not announced the Mahapanchayat, the administration would not have postponed the Hindu Mahapanchayat. Do not force us to react on any action. The Government should be able to take the right decisions, otherwise the atmosphere in the country may deteriorate. Hindu outfits are doing this. They are traitors. (Instead of falsely calling Hindus as traitors, Raza should also tell who is doing Love Jihad, Land Jihad and Spit Jihad – Editor)

Regarding Hindu Rashtra, Maulana Raza said that organisations which are talking about Hindu Rashtra are traitors. Government should take action against these people.

This is called ‘the pot calling the kettle black’. First do ‘Love Jihad’ and when there is opposition to it then issue such threats. The Police must take strict action against people with such mentality.
