Hyderabad (Telangana) – Tamilisai Soundararajan the Telangana Governor advised at a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-affiliated pregnancy camp, “In various villages, we have seen pregnant women reading Ramayan, Mahabharat and performing various rituals. In Tamil Nadu, it is believed that when a woman is pregnant, she should read the Ramayan and the Sundarkand. It is very good for the child to be born”. This camp was organised under ‘Samvardhini Nyas’, a branch of Rashtra Sevika Samiti. Tamilisai Soundararajan is a Gynecologist herself.

The Governor further said that we are going to advise the scientific and traditional measures to give birth to strong children because pregnant women should give birth to cultured and patriotic children.
A senior official of Samvirdhini said that we are going to take this garbhasamskara programme to the entire country. We are going to see how it can be implemented in the whole country by meeting doctors from all over the country.
