Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – The Travancore Devaswom Board has released a circular once again restricting the RSS Shakhas and weapons training in temple premises under the control of the Board. Such a circular was released in 2016 and 2021 also, but it was not implemented in some places. Hence, they had taken action against some officers there.
Officers of the Board informed that since they were not abiding by the principles laid down in the previous circular, a new circular was released through which they would restrict the RSS Shakhas held in the temple premises.
Kadakampally Surendran, the then Devaswom Minister had accused the RSS in 2016 stating that it was using the temple premises for storing weapons and the Government was receiving complaints in that regard. Only then the circular was issued restricting the RSS Shakhas in the temple premises.
