Quad countries criticise China
Our strong opposition to unilateral actions that seek to change the status quo
Hiroshima (Japan) – Four countries – India, Japan, America, and Australia – participated in a Quad summit. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese attended the summit. China’s actions have been criticised by participating countries. In a joint statement, the countries said, “Our position is that we strongly oppose destabilising or unilateral actions that seek to change the status quo by force or coercion.”
The statement further said, “Serious concern about the militarisation of disputed features, efforts to disrupt other countries’ offshore resource exploitation activities.”
