Homosexuality is a disorder, legalising these marriages will increase this disorder in society

Survey conducted by a women’s wing affiliated to the RSS

New Delhi – ‘Samvardhini Nyaas’, an affiliate of the women’s wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) conducted a survey on same-sex marriages. The survey’s finding is that such marriage is a disorder. The findings of the survey are based on 318 responses collected from experts across the country, including medical experts from eight different therapies, from modern science to Ayurveda. In their response to the survey, they felt that legal acceptance of such marriages would increase this aberration in society. Presently, the Supreme Court is hearing the petitions about homosexual marriage.

As per the survey, 70% of doctors and allied medical professionals consider homosexuality an aberration, while 83% of people fear it will transmit sexual diseases. 67% of doctors in response to the survey questionnaire felt that parents of same-sex would not be able to raise their children properly.

Same-sex couples are referred to as patients with psychological disorders as per the finding of this survey. Legalising such marriages will not help in curing patients, but there will be rapid growth of such disorders in society. Patients with such psychological disorders can be cured by counselling. Public opinion should be taken before taking any decision on this issue.
