Tamil Nadu Govt’s plan to provide breakfast to devotees in 100 temples of the State !
Change in ruling DMK’s stance towards Hindus as public support for BJP grows in Tamil Nadu !
Chennai – The ruling DMK, an anti-Hindu party, is currently trying to appease the Hindus as public support for BJP grows in the State. For the first time, Chief Minister MK Stalin’s Government has arranged to provide breakfast to devotees in 100 big temples of the State. More than 1.5 lakh devotees visit daily these 100 temples. These also include the Kamakshi Temple in Kanchipuram and the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. The Government has also introduced mid-day meal in an estimated 3,000 schools run by temples.
1. Apart from this, the Government has removed encroachment on 4,500 acres of land belonging to 44,000 temples in the State in the last 2 years. The value of this land is estimated to be 4,200 crores. (Even before when there was DMK Government in the State why this was not done then ? This shows that it only wants to achieve own political interests ! – Editor)
2. The DMK Government has also allocated a fund of Rs 340 crore for the restoration of 1,000-year-old temples.
3. However, despite the Government’s promises, there has not been enough increase in the wages of the temple employees, said Nataraja Sastry, head priest of the Kanchipuram Temple.
4. Political analyst Sumanth Raman said, “The DMK Government is trying for the Hindu interests for the first time. The main reason for this is the steadily increasing vote share of the BJP. Internal rebellions continue in the AIADMK party. Congress is dependent on DMK here. Prime Minister Modi’s popularity in the state is BJP’s biggest support.”
Growing public support for BJPBJP got 2.6% votes in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. BJP has 4 MLAs in the Legislative Assembly. Compared to this, the percentage of BJP’s votes increased to 5.41% in the urban local self-Government elections held in 2022. For the first time, 308 candidates of BJP won. BJP got only 18 seats in the last urban self-Government elections. That time BJP got 3.4% of votes. |
Editorial Viewpoint
Basically, DMK is an anti-Hindu party and it is in the interest of Hindus in Tamil Nadu not to vote for it. The ideological imprint of the Dravidian movement of the past several decades is also on the Hindus there. Therefore, please note that only by educating Hindus there about Dharma, public support for DMK will reduce ! |
