Abdul Rehman MLA of Aam Aadmi Party Delhi guilty in assault and criminal intimidation case

Delhi – Abdul Rehman MLA of Aam Aadmi Party and his wife Asma from Seelampur area have been found guilty in the case in connection with an assault and criminal intimidation case from 2009. They have been convicted of assaulting the principal of a Government-run school in the national capital.

MLAs Abdul Rehman and Asma may face 7 years of imprisonment. According to rules, if the MLA is sentenced for the more than two years, he will be disqualified from the membership of Delhi legislative assembly.

Rehman said the charges against him are false. “I will move higher court if necessary,” he said. A case of molesting a woman and beating her up is also registered against Rehman. This crime was registered in March 2021.
