Nine students commit suicide after board exams results in Andhra Pradesh !

Students securing fewer marks also among them

Hyderabad – The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Examinations (APBIE) declared the results of the XI  and XII Standard examinations on the 26th of April 2023. Within 48 hours of the declaration of these results, nine students committed suicide and two students attempted to commit suicide. The APBIE held examinations for the XI standard from 15th March to 3rd April 2023 and the examinations for the XII standard were held from 16th March to 4th April 2023. More than ten lakh students appeared in these examinations. 61% of students passed the XI standard examination out of the total students who appeared in this examination, while the XII standard result was 72%. Some of the students committing suicide failed in these examinations, and some of them secured fewer marks than expected.

Chief Justice of India had recently expressed concern over such issues

A few days ago, D Y Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India, expressed concern over college students committing suicide and asked about the shortcomings in educational institutions which are leading students to take such a drastic step of suicide.

The rulers, from all parties since Independence, are responsible for this as the students were not taught spiritual practice at an early age in life. Had the students been taught spiritual practice, they would have acquired the necessary strength to get over failure and be motivated to strive hard for being successful.
