Congress demands ban on the movie ‘The Kerala Story’
Raises nonsensical claim that an attempt is being made to tarnish the image of the State !
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – Congress has demanded a ban on the release of the film ‘The Kerala Story’. Congress says, ‘The claims made in this film are wrong. These claims can disturb the communal harmony in society’. The film tells about the true events of the disappearance of 32,000 Hindu and Christian girls in South India. It has been shown that these young women were trapped through Love Jihad and some of them were taken to Middle Eastern countries to be recruited into the terrorist organisation ISIS. The film will be released in the country on 5th May.

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly V D Satheesan said,
1. The aim of this film is to tarnish the image of the State at the international level. This film, which gives false information that ‘32,000 young women were converted to Islam and recruited into ISIS’, should not be allowed to be screened.
2. The trailer of the movie (the teaser of the movie) shows what is in the movie. This is not freedom of expression, but part of an attempt to implement the RSS policy of isolation of minorities. Therefore, the State should stand united against this.
