Muslims did not celebrate Eid due to the martyrdom of 5 soldiers in the terrorist attack in Poonch
Poonch (Jammu – Kashmir) – Local Muslims did not celebrate Eid to pay respect to the 5 soldiers killed in the grenade attack of the terrorists on their truck. This incident occurred when the truck carrying goods/material for the Iftar party of Muslims.
National Rifles Regiment had organised this party. 4,000 people were to participate in it. Mukhtiaz Khan, Sarpanch of Sangiot village here said, how can they celebrate Iftar when their 5 soldiers had attained martyrdom ? The whole village was grieved to hear the sad news. They said they also wanted to visit the place but the Police had cordoned off the area already. They decided to offer just the namaz instead.
