Headmistress and 2 teachers suspended after the protest by parents and Hindu organisations
Hathras (UP) – On 18th April when a special assembly was organised at the BLS International School, Hindu students were forcefully made to offer namaz inside the campus, which enraged the parents. The parents said that the children were forced to remove the red thread tied around the children’s wrists. Earlier the school had prohibited the children from wearing tilak and mehendi on their hands. Parents and Hindu organisations demanded that a case be filed against the teachers. The District office has appointed a committee to investigate the matter and it will file its report in 5 days.
Editorial viewpoint
The secularists and the progressives would have cried themselves hoarse if in a school, Muslim students were told to say a Hindu prayer, shloka, or a mantra. But please note, they are silent in this case ! |
