The Pakistani Human Rights Organisation’s Report

New Delhi – The level of violence and discrimination against minorities in Pakistan has increased to such an extent that people are constantly living in fear. The above information has been given by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in its report. The report is titled ‘A Breach of Faith: Freedom of Religion or Belief 2021-22’.

1. The report claims that the incidents against minorities show that the current Government’s talk of religious freedom is hollow. The constant conversion of Hindu girls in Sindh is alarming. The Government does not take any action against the desecration and vandalism of places of worship of minorities. According to the Jillani judgment of the Supreme Court in the year 2014, an autonomous, nationally representative commission for religious minorities must be set up through an act of Parliament. It has been recommended to pass a law to criminalise forced conversion.

2. Human rights activist Farjana Bari said that religious discrimination is rampant in the country. There is discrimination in every field including marriage and religious beliefs. There is a firm demand for a legal provision to be made for the security of Hindu society.

3. According to the Hindu rights group Pakistan Darar Ittehad (PDI), the targeted killings in the Province of Sindh, rape, land grabbing of Hindus, mass conversions, burning of houses and temples and attacks on graveyards are extremely common. In a shocking live example, a Doctor named Birbal Genani was brutally murdered.

• This is the level of security of the Pakistani Government. It is not guaranteed if the Pakistani Government, Police or Administration will take any steps to prevent these attacks. Along with this, all the rulers of India from the past 75 years do not seem to have made any serious efforts in this regard. This shows the level of torture Hindus have to undergo in Pakistan ! This situation can be changed if a Hindu Rashtra is established in India !
• It is important to note that the International Human Rights Commission which slams India about the alleged atrocities on the minorities in India is not uttering a single word about the plight of the minority Hindus in Pakistan !
