A march in protest towards the Vidhan Bhavan on the 30th of March in Karachi to be held against the atrocities faced by Hindus
Karachi (Pakistan) – In view of the increasing incidents of kidnapping, conversion and forceful marriage of minor Hindu girls to Muslims in Pakistan, Hindus are going to take out a march toward the Sindh Legislative Hall on 30th March. The march was organised under the leadership of the ‘Pakistan Darawar Ittehad (PDI)’ which works for the rights of minorities. The president of this organisation, Fakir Shiva Kuchi, said that “We are expecting thousands of Hindus to participate in this march because the Government is turning a blind eye to the abduction, conversion and marriage of our women and girls.” In order to create awareness of this issue, Hindus have started taking small processions throughout the neighbourhood of Sindh. They further demanded for the Bill against forced conversion and marriage be passed in the Sindh Assembly at the earliest.

The bill was introduced in the year 2019
The issue of abduction and conversion of Hindu girls from various Districts of Sindh was raised in the Legislative Assembly in the year 2019. The Bill was also approved after some amendments were discussed. But later this Bill was rejected for the reason that it should not be limited to Hindu girls but should include all. A similar Bill was again introduced in 2021, but this was also rejected.
