Extending financial aid in their worst economic crisis
Colombo – India has given 3.8 billion dollar assistance for ameliorating the serious economic situation in Sri Lanka and hence Sri Lanka has been able to achieve economic stability to a certain extent, said Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry while thanking India’s Prime Minister. Dr S Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister is on a Sri Lankan tour. Ali Sabry expressed his gratitude while talking to Dr Jaishankar.

Jaishankar said that his visit to Sri Lanka was to give support to the nation in that difficult period. He added further that India was interested in encouraging investments largely in Power, Tourism and Infrastructure.
