A mob of people from African nations attacks Delhi Police after they detain few Africans for overstaying their visas
New Delhi – On the 7th of January 2023, the south Delhi Police apprehended three African citizens from Raju Park area around 3.00 p.m. They were staying in India, although their visas had expired. A mob of more than 100 Africans surrounded the Police and beat them up. As a result, the accused managed to run away, taking advantage of the situation, but one of the accused named Philip has been again nabbed by the Police.

After this incident, a joint squad of the Police went to Raju Park around 6.30 p.m. and nabbed 4 Nigerian citizens, including one woman. Then, once again, the African mob of about 150–200 people surrounded the Police and tried to help the nabbed persons to run away, but the Police were alert this time. They properly handled the situation and brought the accused to the Police station. The process to evict them from the country has since been initiated.
