Damoh (Madhya Pradesh) – Shamsher alias Monu Khan has been arrested for vandalising the Shivalinga in the ancient Shiv-Hanuman temple on 18^th December. The area was tense, hence, the Police were deployed in the area. Action has been taken against Shamsher as per the National Security Act. Shamsher had tried earlier also to destroy the religious fabric by generating religious conflict. (If stringent action was taken against him then, this incident could have been avoided. Hindus feel that such incidents should not happen when the ruling party is BJP. – Editor).
