Intense protests against zero-Covid policy in China
Beijing (China) – Chinese citizens have been protesting on the streets for the past few days against the ‘Zero Covid Policy’ that has been in place since the COVID-19 pandemic. The protests are becoming more intense every day. In 9 major Chinese states, protests have begun. The Police are using force to stop them, but it seems that citizens are not retreating. Citizens protested on the streets throughout the night of 27th November. Currently, they are demanding the removal of the strict lockdown policy and freedom, as well as Xi Jinping’s resignation.

1. The protests are ongoing in Beijing, as well as in Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Wuhan. For the past three years, people have been raising slogans against the Government.
2. In China, the number of COVID-19 patients is on the rise. There are now more than 3 lakh active patients in China. This has led to many restrictions being imposed by the Xi Jinping Government. The strict lockdown policy has confined nearly 66 lakh people to their homes. These people cannot even go out for food. People are also unhappy with the daily COVID-19 test. Strict action is being taken against those who do not follow the Government rules.
