Smuggling cows through oil tankers

23 cows rescued from Singhbhum Jharkhand – 2 dead

Sighbhum (Jharkhand)- During the search Police checked an oil tanker and found out cows were stuffed inside it. 23 cows were found in the tanker out of which two of them died due to suffocation. This tanker was going to Bengal. Sheikh Meraj has been arrested by the Police. Rescued cows have been handed over to a Gaushala. The video of this search has gone viral on social media. The tanker was modified for cow smuggling.

Cow protectors and devout Hindus expect that the Central Government should enact a law prohibiting cow slaughter, as cattle are being slaughtered and smuggled in various States across the country.
