Jihad hub Pakistan is out of the grey list of the FATF
Islamabad – After 4 years, Pakistan, which is actually a breeding ground for Jihadi terrorism, has been removed from the Grey list of the FATF. Pakistan has welcomed this decision eagerly and reiterated its stance of ‘zero tolerance’ against terrorism. Whatever may be the case, according to many experts, terrorism is an integral part of the official policy of the Government of Pakistan.
FATF had mentioned a few months ago that their members would go to Pakistan and study the actual situation in Pakistan. Hence, some members of the organisation visited Pakistan in the month of September. After this visit, they arrived at the above decision collectively at an internal meeting.
In 2018, the FATF included Pakistan in the Grey list accusing it of providing money to promote Jihadi terrorism.
Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafeez Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi have claimed to have been arrested by the United Nations along with many other terrorists.

Although Pakistan which according to experts is already in an economic crisis has been removed from the grey list, this move will not have any heavy impact on them financially. But the intelligence agencies’ attention towards their global financial transactions can now be relaxed. Foreign investments can also be increased.
