Oslo (Norway) – The Nobel Peace Prizes will be announced here. According to a poll by Reuters, the names of India’s Alt News founders Pratik Sinha and Mohammed Zubair were among the shortlisted candidates for the award. The names of WHO, the National Unity Government of Myanmar and Belarusian opposition politician Sviatlana are also among the favourites. India’s Mother Teresa and Kailash Satyarthi had won the Nobel Peace Prize earlier.

1. Mohammed Zubair was arrested a few weeks ago for circulating the controversial video of Nupur Sharma’s alleged derogatory statement about Prophet Mohammad on social media. He was later released on bail.
2. The US Time magazine said that Pratik Sinha and Mohammed Zubair are struggling to uncover the truth behind fake news in India. Sinha and Zubair try to stop fake news from being systematically spread on social media. (Hindu-hatred of American Newspapers – Editor)
