Love jihad victim to get legal aid through State Govt. appointed advocate !

Mumbai – Iqbal Mohammad Sheikh, a Muslim youth from Chembur slit his Hindu wife’s throat on the road because she was not following the customs of Islam. On the 30^th of September 2022, BJP’s regional Vice-President Mrs Chitra Wagh met the family members of the victim at Chembur. She assured the family of providing the best advocate to fight her case as per the State Government’s stand and to get justice for the aggrieved’s family.

A law needs to be passed in Maharashtra along the lines of the law passed in Uttar Pradesh and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis has taken a serious note of the matter, suitably instructing the Police, informed Mrs Chitra Wagh. Asha Marathe, a municipal councillor was also present on the occasion. Iqbal Mohammad Sheikh has been arrested in the case and imprisoned.
