God does not incarnate; rebirth and Moksha are imaginary according to Satyashodak Samaj teachings : Sharad Pawar, NCP
Mumbai – Religious and social reform was the vision behind the establishment of Satyashodak Samaj. The Satyashodak Samaj does not discard God. God does not incarnate and there is no rebirth and Moksha, said NCP National President Sharad Pawar. He was speaking at the Centenary Golden Jubilee organised by the All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad on the completion of 150 years of the establishment of Satyashodak Samaj.
Former minister MLA Chhagan Bhujbal, Bharat Patankar, Prof. Hari Narke, A.H. Salunkhe and other progressives were present for the occasion. Sharad Pawar said God is one. He is flawless. Therefore, there is no need to worship intermediaries to reach Him, teaches the Satyashodak Samaj. Caste discrimination had reached its peak during the post-Peshwa period. Seeing the injustice of the Hindu religion, the Satyashodak Samaj was formed. The Satyashodak Samaj expected not only religious reform but also educational reform.
Why should we worship a woman whom we have never seen and who has never taught us ? – MLA Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP
Put pictures of Savitribai Phule, Jyotiba Phule, Shahu Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil in schools instead of Saraswati Devi, whom we have neither seen nor who has taught. She taught 3 percent and turned us away. Why should we worship those who turned us away ? (Does Bhujbal have the courage to say Do not worship Allah and Jesus Christ ? – Editor) Those who have educated us deserve to be our Deity. Worship them, but their photos are not found in your homes. They should be worshipped as Deities. Their thoughts should be worshipped. We can see about other Deities later. (In the Hindu Dharma, Deities with specific principles are worshipped. Just as Shri Ganesh is the Deity of wisdom, Shri Saraswati is the Deity of knowledge. By worshipping Devi Saraswati, one gets knowledge. Bhujbal’s speech shows that his knowledge of the Hindu Dharma is superficial. When you talk about something you don’t know, it shows your ignorance. How will the leaders who have no knowledge guide society ? – Editor)
