Six individuals arrested for rape and murder of two minor girls in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh
Lakhimpur Kheri (UP) – UP Police arrested 6 people on the 14th of September in connection with the kidnapping, rape, and murder of two minor girls. They are identified as Chhotu Gautam, Junaid, Suhail, Karimuddin, Arif, and Hafizur Rahman. One of the accused was injured in a Police encounter while arresting him. In the preliminary investigation conducted by the Police in this case, it has been said that these girls went voluntarily with the accused youths. However, the mother of these girls had said that the accused had abducted them.

Police said Chhotu had introduced the girls to the other accused youths. He was not present at the time of the incident. The girls wanted to get married to Junaid and Suhail and were pushing for it. They had physical relations with girls. After having intercourse during the incident, the girls were strangled and hanged to make the murder look like suicide.
