BJP Govt in UP to conduct survey of unrecognised madarasas across the State
Lucknow (UP) – BJP Government in UP has decided to survey unrecognised madarasas in the State. Basic amenities would be checked under this survey.

Minister of State for Minorities Danish Azad Ansari said that as per the instruction from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the State had taken this decision. Presently 16,461 madarasa exist in UP out of which only 560 get Government grants. When asked, will they be recognised after this survey ? Ansari said, that presently their aim was to collect information with regard to basic amenities only.
