Idol of Shri Ganesh depicted as an actor from the film ‘Pushpa’
Idols that insult Shri Ganesh
The intention underlying the display of this image is not to hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus, but to make them comprehend the denigration – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat |
Mumbai – In the South Indian film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, actor Allu Arjun’s act of touching his beard in a particular way has left people in awe. As per the same action, an Idol of Shri Ganesh has been depicted in this year’s Shri Ganeshotsav and its picture is being circulated on social media. It shows Shri Ganesh touching his own beard in the same manner. Although it is being appreciated on social media, there is also a lot of opposition to this and anger is being expressed by Hindus.

Dr Satchidananda Shevade, National Lecturer and Historian appealed Hindus to find out ‘Are such Idols being deliberately publicised by Communists ?’
“At present Deity, Ganesh’s Idols are made from paper, cow dung, alum, cardboard etc. as novelty or eco-friendly. These Idols should be made of black clay, red clay and shadu clay. Shri Ganapati should be the same as it originally is. He should not be depicted in the form of senator, astronaut, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Narendra Modi or any political leaders. Do not idolise Shri Ganesh as a dancer, tabla player or Archie-Parashya in the film ‘Sairat’, like the characters in the films ‘Baahubali’, ‘Chhota Bheem’. Now, Deity Ganesh Idols are being made in the form of film actors. Actor Allu Arjun from the film ‘Pushpa’ portraying Deity Ganesh will only remind people the catchphrase ‘Zukega Nahi Sala’ from the film. It should be investigated whether such Idols are not deliberately displayed by the Communists. Show God as God”, said Dr Satchidananda Shevade.
