Police denied permission to the programme of Anti-Hindu Munawar Faruqui
Result of efforts put in by devout Hindu organisations
New Delhi – Anti-Hindu artist Munawar Faruqui’s entertainment programme titled ‘Dongari to nowhere’ to be held in the Capital was cancelled under the name of Law and Order. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had warned of opposing the programme if it was organised. Mr Surendra Kumar Gupta, Chief of Delhi Branch of VHP had made a demand through a representation with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to cancel Munawar Faruqui’s controversial programme ‘Dongari to nowhere’, as the said programme was a planned event of ridiculing Hindu Deities.

Giving a hateful talk and hurting religious sentiments were very serious matters, stated the representation. Earlier this event of Munawar Faruqui which was to be held in Bengaluru was cancelled due to a complaint by the Hindu organisation ‘Jai Shriram Sena’.
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti too had appealed to the Police to cancel the programme
Delhi – Considering the anti-Hindu and objectionable statements of the anti-Hindu comedian Munawar Faruqui and to maintain religious amiability, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had appealed in the Kamla Market Police station to cancel his show scheduled on 28th August. At that time, the Chairman of the ‘Brahman Swabhiman Sabha’ Pandit Brijesh Sharma and a member of the ‘Temple Priest Association’ of that particular branch were also present. The activists of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti also met the administrators of the ‘Kedar Sahni Auditorium’ to discuss the same. They informed on behalf of the auditorium too, that the show has been cancelled.
