Almora (Uttarakhand) – The Army is having a recruiting drive in Uttarakhand under the Agniveer Scheme. Youth are gathered in large numbers in Ranikhet Somnath Maidan at the Headquarters of the Kumaon Regimental Centre. Here the Police have arrested a youth named Tahir Khan who had come there using an alias of ‘Amit’.
His identity card had his name listed as Amit. The recruitment officers became suspicious and examined the papers rigorously finding them forged. He was then handed over to the Police where he was arrested. The Police are doing further investigation into the case. It is felt that there could be a greater conspiracy in the case.

Editorial viewpoint
Till now Muslim Youth have been impersonating as Hindus, for ‘Love Jihad’. Now they are using the same modus operandi for doing anti-national acts. This is dangerous for the security of the Country. It is necessary to diligently check all entrants to the army. |
