New Delhi – Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has made a revelation. He said I wanted to break the ribs of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly in a match at Mohali (Punjab) in the year 1999. On 28th August the Asia Cup match will be played between India and Pakistan. In this regard, Akhtar made the above revelation while talking to former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag at an event. Earlier, Shoaib Akhtar had made a similar revelation about Sachin Tendulkar.
Akhtar further said that before this match I had planned to injure the Indian players. Accordingly, I bowled targeting their head and ribs. A similar plan was made for Sourav Ganguly. This was also discussed in our team meeting. I was told that if you have pace and you injure the Indian players. Other bowlers will do the job of dismissing the players. I informed Ganguly about this after the match.
