72% of Ministers in the new cabinet of Bihar have criminal cases against them
Serious crimes against 53% of ministers
New Delhi – According to the information from ‘Association for Democratic Reforms’ (ADR), 72% of the ministers in the new coalition Government of Bihar of the RJD and JD(U) have criminal records against them. Cases have also been registered against CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.
1. ‘ADR’ and ‘Bihar Election Watch’ have analysed the information given in the affidavits of 32 out of 33 ministers, including the CM, in the 2020 assembly elections.
2. According to the ADR report, criminal cases are registered against 23 ministers (72%). Of these, 17 ministers (53%) have serious crimes registered against them. Also, 27 ministers (84%) are millionaires.

Bihar Law Minister Kartikeya Singh also has a criminal record
Bihar Law Minister Kartikeya Singh also has several criminal cases registered against him. Interestingly, on 16th August, a warrant was issued for him to appear in Court in a kidnapping case. On the same day, he took an oath as a minister. Kartikeya Singh is an MLA in Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD. He used to be a teacher.
Kartikeya Singh said about the allegations against him, ‘All the allegations against me are false. I have given all the information about it to the Election Commission in the election affidavit. There is a difference between being accused and being convicted. Nothing has been proven yet. Jungle Raj has not come to Bihar.’
