The US lower house passes a bill against the ‘gun culture’
Hard to get the bill passed in the Senate
Washington (US) – Looking at ‘gun culture’ and its adverse effects on society, the lower house has passed a bill against ‘gun culture’. The bill was passed with the majority of 217 vs. 213 against it. The ruling party (The Democratic party) is supporting it while the opposition (The Republican party) is against it. Due to this, it will not be passed in the Senate (The upper house of Congress). Each party has 50 Congressmen in the Senate. A total of 60 votes are needed to pass the bill.
