Assam Police burst the terror attack plot and arrest the in charge of madarasa
8 maulvis taken into custody for investigation
Guwahati (Assam) – The Assam Police busted a plot hatched in a madarasa here to carry out a major terrorist attack in the State. The incident took place in Moirabari Morigaon. On the night of 27th July, The Police arrested a jihadi named Mufti Mustafa who was running the madarasa. Police conducted a search operation at the madarasa and other residences and the madarasa has also been sealed.

Mufti Mustafa is said to be the mastermind of this terror module. He runs the Jami-ul-Huda madarasa since 2018 in Moirabari. The Police have seized several documents along with mobile phones, bank passbooks, and other things from Mufti Mustafa’s possession. It is being said that he was being funded by one Ansarullah from Bangladesh. Apart from this, the madarasa was also getting funding from many other countries.

Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, “Terrorist organisations are slowly trying to target Assam. They are entering the State via Bangladesh. They are trying to provoke the Muslim youth of the State by teaching them about Hadis.
