70% rainfall in just 3 weeks in Rajasthan

• In Jodhpur 84% rain recorded 
• In 6 States alert for heavy rains

New Delhi – Heavy rains have lashed most of the States in the country. Flood like situation in many places has arisen.
Rajasthan had 70% rainfall in the season. 84% rain was recorded in the season on 26th July itself in Jodhpur. By evening of 26th July the reading was 180 mm rain fall. As per the weather report Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Bengal and Goa have been warned about heavy rains.

Very heavy rain in MP

Even Madhya Pradesh has experienced heavy rains. Some places had cloud burst, while some had drains flooding. The loss incurred is more than 100 crores.

Heavy rains in UP till 30^th July

Many Districts in UP, heavy rain continues. Kanpur had the most, that is 16 mm. Weather report states that Heavy rain will continue in many Districts till 30^th July.

Many lost their lives

• In Bihar 11 and in UP 10 got killed due to lightening.
• 7 got killed till now in the floods in the River Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.
• 5 drowned in Jodhpur in Rajasthan
• Since the commencement of the rainy season 100 in Gujarat and more than 110 in Maharashtra have died.
  197 died in Assam this year due to floods and landslides.
