During the hearing of this petition in the Supreme Court, the Court has suspended the arrest till 10th August and the next hearing will be held on 10th August. Sharma had earlier filed a similar plea on 1st July but the Court refused to hear it. The Court said, “Because of you, the situation in the country has deteriorated. You belatedly apologised, that too on the condition that ‘if anyone’s feelings were hurt, I retract that statement’. You should come on national television and apologise to the whole country”.
