Maharashtra State Transport bus falls into River Narmada; 13 dead
Dhar (MP) – In the Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh, a Maharashtra State Transport bus fell into River Narmada after which 13 people lost their lives but 15 could be rescued. The administration is trying to confirm the identity of the dead. There is a threat of an increase in the number of the dead.

It has been said that there were 50 to 60 people in the bus. Due to some technical issue, the bus broke the Khalghat bridge and slipped into River Narmada. The bus had started at 7:30 a.m. for Amalner in Jalgaon District. The Maharashtra State Transport bus has started the helpline number 022-23023940 to get the information of the accident.
An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to the bus tragedy in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi

CM Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over the accident and has issued orders to the Jalgaon District Collectors for the rescue operations to proceed properly and to coordinate with Madhya Pradesh District administration to make arrangements for the proper treatment of the injured.
