A terrorist attack on Amaranath pilgrimage foiled
Two terrorists arrested
New Delhi – Police have thwarted the plan of terrorists to attack the Amarnath pilgrimage. Two terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba have been taken into custody and a large stock of arms and ammunition has been confiscated from them. Talib Hussain and Faisal Ahmed Dar associated with the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) have been nabbed.

On the 20th of June 2022, the first batch of pilgrims left for Amarnath as per the information given by the officers. The terrorists were planning to attack this pilgrimage and the attack was to be carried out on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Talib Hussain was the mastermind of the attack. He had contacted Faisal. Later, these two were hiding in a village in the Tucson district. The Police, however, arrested them before they could make any move towards accomplishing their goal. Talib Hussain had earlier conducted two tests by blasting bombs in Rajouri.
Award declared for those helping in nabbing terrorists !
The rural Police have declared an award of Rs. 2 lakhs while Jammu-Kashmir Dy. Governor Manoj Sinha has declared an award of Rs. 5 lakhs for those who helped in nabbing terrorists.
