Hindu temple money should be used only for the welfare of Hindus : VHP

Kanchipuram (TN) – Alok Kumar, working president of Vishva Hindu Parishad, demanded that the revenue received from temples should not be used for Government and administrative expenses but only for the maintenance of temples and for the welfare of Hindus. He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of VHP’s national council meeting. Alok Kumar also expressed his determination that the VHP will continue to intensify its agitation to liberate temples from the clutches of the State Governments and give its administration to the larger Hindu society from all walks of life.

He further said, ‘It is a matter of regret that Hindu temples continue to be managed by some State Governments and said it was a symbol of continued colonisation. The incidents of vandalism of Idols of Deities in temples in Tamil Nadu are deplorable. Police claim that the vandalism being carried out by intoxicated persons is wrong. There is a conspiracy behind it. The Tamil Nadu Government should take action against the real culprits’.

Will claim the temple in Kashi and the birthplace of Shrikrushna in Mathura !

Alok Kumar said that Vishva Hindu Parishad will peacefully reclaim the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and original location of Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi in Mathura within the framework of the law. We will continue this effort in a constitutional way. Since these cases are sub judice, it would be appropriate for both parties to await the Court’s verdict.

India is governed not by Sharia law, but by the Constitution !

Alok Kumar said the violence in protest of the statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal had caused damage to public property and Government institutions in various parts of the country, as well as attacks on Police, which was reprehensible. Due to the propaganda of the enemy country and some anti-national groups, the radicalists threatened to behead Sharma and Jindal, damage Hindus’ properties and resort to street violence. Vishva Hindu Parishad condemns such heinous acts. India is governed not by Sharia law, but by the Constitution. No mob has the right to convict anyone.
