Mumbai – A teaser of the Hindi film Shamshera has been screened. In this, actor Sanjay Dutt has been portrayed as a villain. His name is Shuddh Singh. He looks like a Brahmin, sporting a Shikha (tuft of hair at the back of the head) and Tilak on his forehead. The producer of this film is being opposed on social media for it.
“Karam se Dacait, Dharam se Azad”
– describes #Shamshera – a cheap copy of Mad Max where villain proudly flaunts his Tilak, Vibhuti, Shikhaa.Urduwood can never reform. But will we?

1. There have been many tweets reacting to it on Twitter. One of them has said that Sanjay Dutt is playing the role of a villain. It seems like the Hindu hatred of Bollywood is reflected again.
This Tilakdhari, Shikhadhari Shuddh Singh is villain of #Shamshera produced by @yrf@duttsanjay continues 70+ year old loyalty of Urduwood for its cross-border masters.
But you as audience must choose your loyalty – Dharam or Dharam se Azaadi? pic.twitter.com/R8St8n3Tk1

2. In another tweet, the person tweeted, as I have said before, it has been deliberately conspired to show a villain sporting a Tilak in the movies.
Editorial Viewpoint
The Hindi film industry has been defaming Hindu Dharma for many years by portraying villains as Brahmins, Sadhus, Saints and Priests. It must now be permanently banned. While the Central Board of Censorship is under the control of the Central Government, the Government should pay attention to it and stop issuing certificates to such films. |
