Attackers weakened Hindus by attacking temples – Adv Vishnu Shankar Jain, Supreme Court
First Session on the second day
Ramnathi (Goa) – Temples are places of reverence and honour for Hindus. Therefore essential that by surrendering Hindu Temples to Hindus again, they should be allowed to regain their glory. Ancient kings also had given importance to the construction of temples and their security. Just as when any king is attacked, its subject becomes weak. Likewise, attackers have weakened Hindus by attacking temples. King Bhoj had founded Sanskrut Pathshala through Bhojashala. He had also constructed a temple here only in 1034, but religious fanatics destroyed it and announced that there was a mosque. Over time Muslims were permitted to offer namaz there every Friday. Many such evidences showing that many premises were destroyed by religious fanatics are available. In this campaign of encroachment-free temples if Hindu society unite forgetting position, party, organisation, then it would not be long to get the possession of all temples in Hindus’ hand, said a spokesperson of Hindu Front for Justice, Adv. Vishnu Shankar Jain. He was addressing the gathering in the first session of the second day of the All India Hindu Rashtra Convention on the topic ‘Mukti-sangram after Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura’.
When Adv Vishnu Jain was presenting his talk in detail about the Islamic encroachment on Bhojashala, photos related to designs of Hindu symbols and historical remains were shown on a projector. They included Sanskrut shlokas carved on the walls of the Bhojashala, Dharmachakra, arches and pillars depicting temples, so also the photos of the pavilion of the main temple were shown.
