Varanasi (UP)  – Advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh, the petitioner for the Hindus in Mathura’s Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Idgah Mosque case has received a death through a video. In this video, the ‘Jama Masjid Intejamia Committee’ President Muhammad Jahid Qureshi can be seen issuing this threat after Friday’s Namaz in Agra’s Jama Masjid. The Police then filed a case against Qureshi. Advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh has sought Police Protection

1. Mahendra Pratap Singh said that he had sent a notice to the Archaeological Department asking them to return the Shri Krishna Idols that are buried under the steps of the Begum Sahiba Mosque which is within Agra’s Jama Masjid premises. It is because of this that Jahid Qureshi has threatened to have me killed. I need Police protection due to this threat.

2. After a case was filed against him, Jahid Qureshi said in his own defence that the BJP themselves do not get involved in the Mandir-Masjid issue but get people like Mahendra Pratap Singh, who has demanded the digging of the Mosque, to be their frontman. We are not against the country or any Government.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Will the Muslims who are agitating against Nupur Sharma speak anything on this threat ?
The Hindus feel that the BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh should take prompt action against such people and imprison them
