Cocaine worth Rs 500 crore, imported under the name of salt, seized
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 52 kilograms of cocaine drugs worth around Rs 500 crore, hidden in a consignment of salt, at a port in Gujarat. These drugs were imported from Iran to Gujarat.

The fact that it was imported under the name of salt, is a shocking thing. In the year 2021-22, the DRI had seized 312 kg of cocaine from the whole country. In the international market, its cost is Rs 3,200 crore.
