In this case, 3 petitions have been filed, and both sides have made different requests. The 5 ladies Lakshmi Devi, Rakhi Singh, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas, and Rekha Pathak from the Hindu side have asked for permission to perform Shri Shringar Gauri’s Puja every day. The lawyers of the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee, which manages the mosque, urged the Court to decide first whether the Hindu petitioners’ case was maintainable under the Places of Worship Act, 1991. Both sides have made some other demands as well. Hindus have asked permission to perform Puja of the Shivalinga found in the vajukhana. They have also requested the demolition of the wall to the north of the Nandi, and they have also demanded that a survey of the vajukhana to measure the length and breadth of the Shivalinga.
