1. The rally was organised under the leadership of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) leader Harish Singla. Upon the slogans of Khalistan Murdabad, there was opposition from the Khalistani Sikhs. They called Shiv Sena as Monkey Army and said that they will oppose the march. Therefore, after an argument took place between the two, the Khalistanis first started stone pelting at the Shiv Sena rally and then tried to attack them with the sword. In response, Shiv Sainiks also pelted stones and drew their swords.
2. At the Kalimata temple area, the situation became tense. Videos of the clashes have been circulating on social media. In one video, a man is seen standing on a building next to the temple and pelting stones at people gathered below. A Hindu leader and a Police officer were injured in this clash. Police told that both groups did not receive permission to march.
3. Following the incident, all party leaders appealed to the people of both groups to maintain peace and resolve their differences through dialogue. Currently, a large number of the Police force have deployed to maintain law and order.
