As per this law, if the animal is found wandering in the streets without anyone looking after it, then the owner will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. After a licence is procured; a ‘tag’ will be fixed to the ear of the animal. This tag will have specific information like the name of the owner, his phone number, address etc. Every 10 days the cow dung is to be thrown outside the city in the designated areas. The area where the animal will be kept has to be kept clean. If it is found unwashed and filthy then a fine of Rs 500 will be levied on the owner. If the above laws are not followed, then a one-month notice will be sent to the owner informing him of the cancellation of his licence. After which the owner cannot apply for another licence in his lifetime.
